To cap an excellent year for Hemisphere Freight Services, we’re really pleased to announce the arrival of two new recruits to our team of experienced logistics professionals. They have both got off to a flying start – here’s a little more background on Lee and Julie…
Say Hello to Lee Gardner
We’re always on the lookout for supply chain experts with an appetite for providing the best logistics solutions to our customers, so we were delighted when Lee decided to join the Hemisphere team. Having spent 15 years working for WTA Ltd as well as a more recent role at Cory Brothers, Lee certainly has the experience required for the fast-moving international logistics industry.
In the words of Director Louis Perrin: “Lee’s experience complements our strengths as a company really well and they also align closely with our future growth ambitions. He has developed exceptionally strong global partnerships in previous roles and seems exactly the right fit for our team as we continue to grow.
While his background and character impressed the Hemisphere directors, Lee was drawn to the company by its culture and forward-thinking nature. “I feel extremely proud and excited to have joined the team – I can see the care and attention that everyone puts in to make Hemisphere such a successful company. It’s an exciting place to be and I’m really keen to make my mark.”
All the best Lee, we’re sure you’ll go on to achieve great things with the company!
Let’s Welcome Julie Hill
In addition to Lee’s arrival, in recent weeks Julie Hill has been settling in at our Ipswich headquarters. Her appointment adds further experience to our team, particularly around management of our global networks and overseas partners.
Similarly to Lee, Julie has also worked for Cory Brothers, with her nine years there followed more recently by time working at Felixstowe-based Burhill Logistics; supporting them in growing their export sales.
The Hemisphere team have already been impressed with Julie’s attitude and skill. “Julie’s background makes her a perfect fit for the team here”, commented Managing Director Andy Perrin. “We’re really pleased to have her on board and can’t wait to see how she puts into practice the considerable knowledge that she has built up over her career to date.”
Julie is similarly pleased to be joining the team. “I am very happy to now be part of the commercial team at Hemisphere, who are an extremely friendly bunch. Having worked in the industry for many years in various roles I have a lot of experience to bring which I know use to maximise new opportunities for the company and clients alike.”
We wish Julie and Lee all the best and hope that you will be seeing plenty more of them over the course of their time with Hemisphere Freight Services.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to wish all our staff, customers, partners and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Thanks for a great 2017!
