Our head office team donated a number of items to children and families in Suffolk as part of a Christmas collection on 13 December.

Compliance and HR manager Dylan Pomietlo organised the collection after being contacted by Reed Recruitment, which has arranged collections from Suffolk businesses for the past eight years.

Items donated by our generous staff included board games, soft toys, lego kits and homemade bags of craft kits to make Christmas decorations. They were dropped at Ipswich Hospital Children’s Ward, two emergency family shelters and the Lighthouse Women’s Aid Refuge, ready to be delivered to young patients and residents on Christmas Day.

Lighthouse Women’s Aid is an Ipswich-based charity that offers support to women, young people and children affected by domestic abuse or violence. Its refuge provides a temporary safe space for women and their children, protecting them from domestic abuse and preparing them to live safely and independently in the future.

More than 100 children will receive gifts this Christmas thanks to the generosity of Hemisphere employees and other companies across Suffolk.

“Having supported Reed’s collection in the past, we didn’t hesitate to get involved again this year,” said Dylan Pomietlo. “We know how difficult this time of year can be for many families, and the work done by Ipswich Hospital, Lighthouse Women’s Aid and the emergency shelters is incredible. Hopefully we bring some much-needed festive cheer to a few children this Christmas.”
