Two New Starters at Hemisphere

Last month we announced the addition of three new members to the Hemisphere team. And our recruitment drive has continued into June, as we welcome two more experienced hands to the company.
Michael Stanton
With over 15 years’ experience in the shipping industry, Michael is joining our company as a Business Development Manager for the Skelmersdale Commercial department.
Having worked in a few different niches in the sector – including freight forwarding at Warrant Group, short sea services a MacAndrews, air freight at Toll Global, and others at companies like Yusen Logistics and SDV (now Bollore) – Michael is bringing a great deal of industry insight and commercial experience to Hemisphere.
Michael managed to secure business with Kellogg’s at a previous company, and we are excited that he is bringing this drive and tenacity to our experienced team. His dedication to excellent customer service also aligns with the values shared by other members of the company, and is one of the reasons that he is excited to work with us.
“I have chosen to work for Hemisphere because the people and their customer-focused attitude is like nothing I have seen before,” said Michael. “Everyone is very experienced and enjoys what they do.”
As well as being an expert in all things freight, Michael enjoys following his beloved Everton, regularly going to the gym and travelling.
Robert Jones
Joining our Airfreight Sales department as a Sales Coordinator, Robert has extensive experience in various aspects of administration. Having previously worked in the Business and Marketing department at Brooklands College in Weybridge, Surrey, we are excited to be giving Robert the opportunity to work in an industry that he isn’t familiar with, but that we know he will love.
“I saw the job and thought it sounded like a challenging and dynamic place to work,” said Robert. “With my admin background, I believed I would be well-suited to the position. Upon visiting Hemisphere, the company seemed extremely friendly and the working environment looked fantastic. I was delighted to be given the opportunity to join the team.”
In his spare time, Robert is a keen follower of football and various motorsports such as F1. He also enjoys cycling, karting, snooker and pool, meaning he’ll fit in fine with any team activities.
