Our staff are our greatest asset; we encourage people to better themselves, reward hard work and initiative, and move the right people into the right positions. Take a look at the latest promotions within Hemisphere’s team of experts, who will be continuing to ensure your freight is where it needs to be and that you receive excellent service at every step.

Paul Milligan

Alongside some exciting new additions to our UK Transport team, we are thrilled to see Paul Milligan step into the role of Transport Manager.

Domestic road haulage remains a core part of our service offering at Hemisphere, and Paul has been at the forefront of the team since joining us in 2007. Having established us as the transport partner of choice for several high-profile clients, Paul is working hard to ensure Hemisphere’s transport operation continues to work effectively for all customers.

Beyond this, Paul is always keeping an eye on the future, so he can anticipate transport challenges and develop alternative solutions to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs.

Ricardo Branco

Paul isn’t the only promotion within our UK Transport team. After five excellent years as a Transport Administrator, Ricardo Branco has been promoted into the role of Transport Supervisor.

In his new role, Ricardo will assist Paul in a number of areas, from communicating with customers and suppliers on performance and needs, to coordinating any staff training or development. He will also identify opportunities for greater efficiencies in our current systems and processes, while ensuring all transport operations are carried out in accordance with UK laws, particularly those relating to health and safety.

With his willingness to learn and deliver fantastic service to customers, Ricardo thoroughly deserved his promotion and we look forward to seeing him excel in this new role.

Sonia Lochrie

Having spent many years with a global shipping line, Sonia joined Hemisphere 2015 with very little freight forwarding experience. However, since then she has gained solid operations and customs experience as part of the export department, demonstrated she has the desire and drive to succeed and established herself as a very strong member of the team.

This experience, and her ability to shine in every situation, gave Sonia all the tools she needed to be recently promoted to Ocean Export Supervisor. Continually taking pride in her work, she now manages a team of nine people, creating efficiencies, encouraging her staff and ensuring we are providing excellent customer service throughout.

Simon Joseph

We’re lucky to have had Simon with us for 20 years, during which time he’s developed a deep understanding of our business, seen how our industry has evolved over the last two decades and kept on top of every new development. Now vastly experienced in every aspect of freight – whether by road, rail, sea or air – Simon has devervedly been promoted to Total Logistics Manager, heading up our new Total Logistics service.

Overseeing a dedicated team of freight experts, his focus is to deliver a complete, comprehensive solution that offers clients a one-stop shop for all their shipping needs, effectively becoming their outsourced in-house logistics team. This unifies our approach to global logistics and provides customers with a seamless experience, no matter how complex their requirements or transportation route.

Tracy Reidy

Tracy started as an Ocean Import Clerk 17 years ago, and has now risen to become our Total Logistics Supervisor. Despite having no previous experience when she joined us, Tracy quickly learnt the ropes and has become an integral member of the Ocean Import team.

In her role, Tracy coordinates imports on behalf of a number of customers, including significant Hemisphere key accounts. She has widened her experience and prospects within the industry over the last few years, working in warehousing management as well as on the sales and procurement side of the import business.

The promotion to Total Logistics Supervisor is well deserved, given her overall success and excellent relationships with customers and suppliers alike.

Craig Perrin, Director at Hemisphere, commented: “Helping our team to develop their skills and experience is an important part of the culture at Hemisphere. I’m always delighted to see staff take their careers to the next level as a result of their hard work, dedication and attention to customer service, and I know this will continue in their new roles.”
