The success of Hemisphere Freight is due to the amazing team that make everything possible. We realise the importance of happy and motivated staff and reward accordingly.
As such, we are thrilled to announce the promotion of Katie Murphy to Ocean Export Supervisor. Katie’s hard work and dedication to Hemisphere has helped drive the business forward and from our customers feedback it is clear that she does a fantastic job in taking care of their export sea freight requirements. Katie’s meticulous organisation and ability to hold her nerve under growing pressures has been invaluable delivering both large-scale projects and quick turn-around jobs.
General Manager, Malcolm Howell, who has overseen Katie’s development said:
“Katie joined our team 5 years ago at the age of 18 with no experience in Logistics, however it was clear that she would fit in perfectly with our team and had a personality that our clients would love dealing with. I have seen Katie’s confidence grow daily since she started with us and she can cope extremely well under pressure. She is an absolute credit to our company.”
Similarly, Hemisphere’s director Louis Perrin was eager to sing Katie’s praises:
“Katie played a vital part in our recent export system development which halved the amount of time it took to process a booking and produce the relevant shipping documentation in our system. Katie is an extremely bubbly and positive character. She takes all tasks in her stride, is open minded and makes positive contributions within her team and the company.”
Our ocean exports team is one of our core service offerings, with over 28 years’ experience in deep and short sea ocean exports. Katie has carved her niche in this area, working with all major and specialist carriers coordinating a multitude of shipments irrespective of their origin, destination or complexity.
When asked to comment Katie said:
“I feel privileged to have been offered this opportunity and I look forward to continuing to work with a great team for the benefit of Hemisphere and it’s clients”
