HFS started working with Global Design & Source in 2010, providing a dedicated air freight service to help move its bespoke promotional products to numerous customers in the retail, hospitality and events sector.
Thanks to our established relationships with international airlines and proximity to London Heathrow Airport, we had everything in place to support the company’s growth and drive greater efficiencies in its supply chain.
We have since evolved our partnership with Global Design after the company saw the value of keeping all of its logistics with one provider. Our services now encompass ocean freight, air freight, warehousing, domestic and international pallet and courier distribution, value-added services (VAS), pick, pack and order fulfilment.

Facemask Shipments for Care Homes
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we supported Global Design with the delivery of facemasks to care homes in Rotherham and Birmingham, ensuring they had access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without delay.
Within one hour of the goods’ arrival, we were able to take receipt, source a courier and have two deliveries out on the road for same-day delivery to the homes. We were proud to work alongside Global Design & Source to help those in desperate need.

Multi-Site Christmas & New Year Dispatches
Global Design supplies promotional products to several venues across the UK, with the festive season a particularly busy time for the company. Each year, we receive its goods through various means, whether it’s ocean freight containers, air freight or road-based deliveries from the company’s UK supplier.
Once all goods are receipted and allocated SKUs, we perform large multi-site picks of approximately 50 products to various bars, restaurants and nightclubs. This operation generally covers 750+ sites and is turned around in seven days from picking to final deliveries.

Global Design relies heavily on imports, meaning there’s a lot of time sensitivity around its inbound consignments, whether delivered by air or ocean freight.
Our proximity to key ports and airports – where we have expansive warehousing facilities – allows us to receive and distribute the company’s goods in a timely fashion, ensuring none of its customers are left disappointed.
Global Design has also been able to offer additional services to its existing clients as a result of our warehousing, fulfilment and distribution capabilities – opening up substantial new revenue streams for the company.
