Ocean Import Co-ordinator

Within this role you will be looking after the importation of our clients products across many different industries, and from all over the world including, Asia, America, Europe etc via Sea and Ocean.
A successful candidate would be joining a strong performing company with highly experienced and skilled colleagues. This operational department has plenty opportunity for the right candidate in a friendly and professional work environment. Within the role you will also receive suitable training to become a specialist customs broker and play a big part in facilitating international trade.

We specialise in providing global supply chain solutions and can handle every aspect of our clients’ cargo needs via our expert in-house teams – from start to finish, regardless of point of origin or destination.

- Expertly handling day to day import ocean freight operations
- Import Customs processes and formalities
- Building and maintaining client relations for continued business with customers
- Confirming delivery requirements and arranging with our Transport Team
- Supporting customers with general customs advice
- Identifying clients who will benefit from using Compass (online tracking portal)
- Creation of customs and import ocean documents
- Working with HMRC and other customs authorities
You will need to have:
Current experience in customs clearances and knowledge of will give any applicant an advantage.
We are looking to grow a team with varied experience and skills, some of what we are looking for are:
- Performing Import Customs clearances
- Competence in handling/submitting additional customs documentation, certificates or licences
- Knowledge of Tariffs
- Bonded customs, Special/Simplified Customs Procedures
- Understanding of AEO Procedures
- General Customs Compliance
- Understanding of Inco Terms
- Additional declarations for specific destinations and origins
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills
